Tracy Hall 1711 North Lambert Lane Provo, Utah 84601 Dear Dr. Hall: The enclosure, a drawing of high-pressure apparatus germane to my letter to you of a few days ago, was supplied to me by my colleague in H-F Associates, William S. Foulks, Jr., who was Technical Director of pressed optics (hot-pressed and extruded materials) for about five years for the Harshaw Chemical Company when I was president of the Company anfi following. As Technical Director, Bill Foulks designed pressure apparatus and dies, planned the programs, produced the first commercial products, visited customers, and sales-engineered the first purchase orders from the customers. His new products — which are still current — ranged from extruded-and-hoi&-pressed transparent nuclear-radiation dosimeters to eight-inch diameter optically-transparent domes and discs from inorganic materials at, say, seven hundred degrees C and one hundred thousand pounds per square inch — high, but modest in your field. Sincerely, William A. Harshaw II
